Recital Music – Practicing with the recital music is the best way to perfect your timing and overall performance. We suggest obtaining a copy of the music from us and not download it as we do edit, adjust speeds, and sometimes blend songs. If you would like us to email the music file(s) to you, it will be done by the end of the next business day. Don’t forget to practice!!

 

Important Recital Information - Throughout the next few months, we will be sending out important recital information. Since we are a paperless studio, all correspondence will be sent through email as well as posted on the corkboard in the studio and on our website. Please be sure to read each flyer as it will contain important information regarding the steps, we will be taking to prepare for our second annual recital.

 

Costume Balances – Recital costumes were ordered over our Winter Break. We have many costume catalogs, and the costume balance depends on which catalog we choose to order from for your child’s class. We do not charge a flat fee for all costumes. Your costume balance has been added to your account. You should have received an email with your costume balance. If you did not, please contact the studio as soon as possible so we can send it again. We offer several convenient payment options. You can make weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payments instead of paying the whole balance at once! All costume balances are due by February 1st. If payment is not received by February 1st, a monthly 9.9% finance charge will be added until the balance is paid in full. If you have an automatic payment plan set up with us, please email us back when you receive your costume balance email to let us know how you would like to pay off your balance. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to speak with Miss Carla.

 

Recital T-shirt Order Forms – We will be offering commemorative recital t-shirts for our 6th annual recital, “In My Dance Era”. This is a great way for the dancers to remember their recital day and show their studio pride! An order form will be emailed as well as available in the office. All order forms are due on Saturday, February 22nd. The recital t-shirts will be black with our recital theme and design on the front!!! The recital t-shirts will be $22.00 per shirt with the option to personalize them with your name on the back for an additional $3.00. Some fun ideas for personalization are Julia’s Mom, Hallie’s #1 Fan, Ella’s Best Friend or Hannah’s Sister!! T-shirts will be available in the office to try on for size.

 

Attendance – All dancers are currently working on their recital performance during class. For this reason, attendance is very important to ensure all students are kept up to speed with their class’ progress. Please remember, all students are entitled to a make-up class within 14 days of the missed class; however, it is always best to have a make-up before your next class and to check with your instructor which class is best. As always, we appreciate advanced notice for any student’s absence.

 

Lost Items – We have a couple of items left in our waiting area. It is a good idea to write your child’s name on all jackets, shoes, and EDA gear so that items left behind can be traced back to their rightful owner. Please encourage all students to check for all their belongings before leaving the studio.

 

School Closings – The studio will be closed for Mid-Winter Recess on Friday, February 14th – Monday, February 17th. The studio will re-open on Tuesday, February 18th. EDA follows the Matawan Aberdeen School District for emergency school closings. If those schools are closed or dismissed early due to a weather emergency, EDA will also be closed that day. Saturday classes and rehearsals will be notified by email.
