Toys for Tots – This holiday season, we are a host for the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots! We have a Toys for Tots box located in our waiting area that you can bring in new unwrapped toys to donate to those families who are in need for the holiday season! I love doing this each year because it reminds the dancers that giving is better than receiving and that some children are not blessed with the opportunities to do/have the things they can. Pick up will be Monday, December 9th. Please share this with your friends and family as all can donate, not just the EDA families!

 

Costume Deposits – Costume deposits are now past due. If you have not paid your costume deposit, please see Miss Carla to ensure payment is made before we leave for Winter Break. If your deposit is not received by this time, there may be additional fees charged for a rush order as the typical turn around time is much longer during the “busy” season. If your child does not want to participate in the recital, please let Miss Carla know so we can adjust our records according. Thank you!

 

Costume Measurements – All dancers must be measured for their recital costumes in advance to ensure proper delivery times from the costume companies. We will be measuring the week of Monday, December 9th. It is important that all dancers be in tight fitting clothing (leotards and tights preferred) to ensure proper measurement. The turnaround time for costumes is between 8-12 weeks depending on the volume of their business at the time, possibly longer with the current shipping delays. This is why we measure so early, to make sure we can order the costumes over Winter Break so they arrive in time for us to make exchanges for size if needed within the proper time frame. If your dancer will be absent during Costume Measurement week, please let Miss Carla know as soon as possible so we can make sure they are measured before we leave for Winter Break.

 

Costume Balances – Recital costumes will be ordered over our Winter Break. We have many costume catalogs and the costume balance depends on which catalog we choose to order from for your child’s class. We do not charge a flat fee for all costumes. Your costume balance will be added to your account by January 4th. You will receive an email with your costume balance on that day as well. We offer several convenient payment options. You can make weekly, bi-weekly or monthly payments instead of paying the whole balance at once! All costume balances are due by February 1st. If payment is not received by February 1st, a monthly 9.9% finance charge will be added until the balance is paid in full. If you have an automatic payment plan set up with us, please email us back when you receive your costume balance email to let us know how you would like to pay off your balance. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to speak with Miss Carla.

 

Refer A Friend – It’s not too late to refer a friend to dance with you! Our refer a friend program gives an incentive to both the registered EDA family and the friend who is coming to take class! If you refer a friend who registers for classes here at EDA in the month of December, you will receive a $65.00 credit towards your May tuition. Your friend who registers with us will receive a $20.00 credit towards their May tuition. Have your friend contact us today to set up a trial class! What’s better than dancing with your friends?? Dance friends are forever friends!!

 

Holiday Party – We would like to invite our dance families to our 6th Annual Holiday Party!! Sunday, December 15th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Elite Dance Academy of Marlboro. We will have craft activities, games, prizes & more! For this season, we will be doing a “pot luck” style party. This means that each family attending is asked to bring one item: appetizer, entrée, dessert or drink. I will be sending out a food signup sheet via email to those who respond to the party email! 😊 **There are nut, melon and seafood allergies so please refrain from anything containing those items** I would also like the dancers to participate in a grab bag. This will give them an opportunity to get to know each other since we are still a small studio which I think is extremely important to create the dance family atmosphere that will turn this into a second home for our dancers! If you will be attending, please let Miss Carla know so we can put your dancers name into a hat to be picked for the grab bag! I hope to see you there! EDA Retail – Perfect for holiday gifts! Let you dancer show their EDA pride by purchasing one of our fantastic retail items located on our lobby wall! We have some great newer items – EDA Water Bottles, Slides & Crop Tops!! We also have our Jogger Sweats, Sports Bra, Little Dancer Leotard and Shorts set, Leggings & our Drawstring Bag, Sweat jackets, Sweatpants, T-shirts, Shorts, Tank Tops, Water Bottles & Pop Sockets!!!!! All sizes from Child Small through Adult 2XL. All imprints can be changed to glitter for only $6.00 more per item. All items can be personalized for only $6.00 more per item. All Plus Sizes are an additional $5.00. Please see Miss Carla for a retail order form. Orders usually have a 1 – 1 ½ week turnaround time depending on the volume of business they have at the time.

Each Large gift box includes: 1 EDA T-Shirt, 1 EDA Bra Top, 1 pair of EDA Joggers, 1 pair of EDA Crop Top, 1 EDA Crewneck Sweatshirt & 1 EDA Water Bottle or Hat. Emergency School Closings – EDA follows the Matawan Aberdeen Regional High School District for emergency school closings. Since school is mostly remote, we will make the determination of closure by early afternoon at the director’s discretion depending on the safety of travel. School Closing – The studio will be closed Monday, December 23rd – Wednesday, January 1st for Winter Break. The studio will re-open on Thursday, January 2nd.
